How much does DirectDine cost?
One flat platform fee covering all eight portals, set after a quick conversation about your size. There's no per-order commission and no charge per portal. See the pricing page for how the tiers work.
Do you take a cut of my orders?
No. Orders placed through your DirectDine storefront are commission-free. You pay your payment processor's standard card fees, and nothing to us per order.
Is there a long contract?
Solo and Growth are billed monthly and you can cancel any time. Group plans are annual with onboarding included.
Setup & hardware
What hardware do I need?
DirectDine runs in any modern browser and installs as a PWA, so a tablet or laptop is enough to start. For a full counter you can add ESC/POS thermal printers (network, USB or Bluetooth, 80mm or 58mm), a POS terminal and a pickup display all supported natively.
Can you migrate my existing data?
Yes, our team brings your menu, customers and order history across as part of onboarding. See Services for the full process.
How long does it take to go live?
Most single sites are live within a week or two, depending on menu complexity and hardware. We build, migrate, train and dry-run before launch day.
Data, security & support
Who owns the customer data?
You do, completely. Every guest record is yours and exportable to CSV whenever you want it. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How secure is it?
Security is built in, not bolted on: bcrypt passwords, HMAC-signed httpOnly sessions, server-side price verification, Postgres row-level security and Stripe-grade card handling. More on the Security page.
What happens if the internet goes down?
The POS is offline-first. It keeps taking orders and payments with no connection, then syncs every ticket the moment you're back online. Nothing is lost.
What support do I get?
Email support on every plan, priority support on Growth and above, plus a dedicated account manager for Group. We aim to prevent the busy-service phone call, not just answer it.
